
AITA Tennis Coaching Pathway
A new coach can enter the AITA coaches’ education system by enrolling for:
- Play & Stay stand-alone course (3 days) after attending the course he will be certified as AITA Mini Coach (white Card); he also can attend the Play & Stay course during the Level I Course for the same certification.
- Level I course (7 Days): he will be assessed mainly in four areas, group lesson, individual lesson, written exam and Demonstrations of various strokes and will be graded. D or E or F grades will give him a certification of AITA Elementary coach (Blue card), A or B or C grades will give him a certification of AITA Foundation Coach (Green Card) only after he assists a Senior coach (Senior Coach should be registered with AITA, should have higher certification than AITA Level III Foundation coach or an equivalent certification with at least 5 years of experience) or a National / State Association OR any AITA Tutor for 60 hours on court within six months after announcement of the results.
- Only AITA Foundation coach is eligible to attend the Intermediate and Beginners course , he will be assessed mainly in four areas, group lesson, individual lesson, written exam and Demonstrations of various strokes on passing he will be certified as an AITA Intermediate Coach (Bronze card) only after he assists a Senior coach (Senior Coach- should be registered with AITA, should have higher certification than AITA Level IV Intermediate coach or an equivalent certification with at least 5 years of experience) or a National / State Association coaching program OR any AITA Tutor for 100 hours on court within six months after announcement of the results.
- Only AITA Intermediate Coach is eligible to attend the Advance course, he will be assessed mainly in four areas, Group lesson, Individual lesson, written exam and Demonstrations of various strokes on passing he will be certified as an AITA Advance Coach (Silver Card) only after he assists a Senior coach (Senior Coach- should be registered with AITA, should have higher certification than AITA Level IV Intermediate coach or an equivalent certification with at least 5 years of experience) or a National / State Association coaching program OR any AITA Tutor for 100 hours on court within six months after announcement of the results.
- Only AITA Advance Coach is eligible to attend High Performance course, apart assessing him in the four areas mentioned above he will also be assessed in Physical conditioning Knowledge, Biomechanical knowledge, Mental training knowledge and its application on court, he will be also assessed in analytical & administrative skills on passing the exam he will certified as a High Performance Coach( Gold Card ) only after he assists a Senior coach (Senior Coach- should be registered with AITA, should have higher certification than AITA Level V Advance coach or an equivalent certification with at least 5 years of experience) or National / State Association coaching program OR any AITA Tutor for 100 hours on court within six months after announcement of the results.
- Only High Performance Coach will be eligible to attend the ITF conducted Level III course, on passing of which he will be certified as an Elite Coach( Platinum Card) only after he assists a Senior coach (Senior Coach- should be registered with AITA, should have higher certification than AITA Level VI High performance coach or an equivalent certification with at least 5 years of experience) or a State Association coaching program OR any AITA Tutor for 100 hours on court within six months after announcement of the results.
Note- FOR ALL THE ABOVE COURSES AITA COACHES REGISTRATION IS COMPULSORY.
